What is agency access?
Agency access lets you connect your Diviner One account with a marketing agency or partner who manages your online reputation on your behalf. If you work with an agency that offers managed review services, this feature gives them the access they need while keeping you in control.
You can find this feature at Settings > Agency access in your dashboard sidebar.
How agency access works
When an agency wants to manage your account, they send you an invitation through the Diviner One platform. You will see the invitation appear on your Agency access page, where you can review the details and decide whether to accept or decline.
Each invitation includes:
- Agency name -- the name of the agency requesting access
- Assigned role -- the permissions level they are requesting
- Invite date -- when the invitation was sent
Once you accept an invitation, the agency becomes your managing agency and can access your account according to their assigned role.
Accepting or declining invitations
When you have pending invitations, they appear in the Pending invitations section of the Agency access page. For each invitation, you can:
- Accept -- grants the agency access to your account
- Decline -- rejects the invitation without granting any access
Take your time reviewing each invitation. Make sure you recognize the agency name and are comfortable with the role they have been assigned before accepting.
Understanding billing ownership
One important aspect of agency access is the billing owner designation. This determines who is responsible for paying the Diviner One subscription:
- Agency -- the agency pays for your Diviner One subscription as part of their services to you
- Client -- you continue to pay for your own subscription, and the agency simply manages your account
The billing owner is set when the agency sends the invitation. You can see this information on your Agency access page once you have accepted an invitation.
Viewing your managing agency
After accepting an invitation, the Agency access page shows your current managing agency with the following details:
- Agency name
- Billing owner designation (Agency or Client)
- Connection status
This gives you a clear view of who has access to your account and the billing arrangement in place.
Removing an agency
If you no longer want an agency to manage your account, you can remove them at any time:
- Go to Settings > Agency access in your dashboard
- Find the current managing agency section
- Click the Remove button
- Confirm the removal in the confirmation dialog
Removing an agency immediately revokes their access to your account. If the agency was the billing owner, you may need to update your subscription to continue using Diviner One.
Frequently asked questions
Can I have multiple agencies managing my account? No. You can only have one managing agency at a time. To switch agencies, remove the current one first, then accept a new invitation.
Will I lose any data if I remove an agency? No. Your reviews, widgets, settings, and all other data remain intact. Only the agency's access is removed.
Can I change the billing owner after accepting? The billing owner is set by the agency when they send the invitation. To change this arrangement, contact your agency directly and have them send a new invitation with the updated billing designation.
What plans support agency access? Agency access is available on all Diviner One plans -- Grower, Builder, and Maven.
Best Practices
Verify before accepting
Always confirm you recognize the agency name and understand the assigned role before accepting an invitation.
Clarify billing upfront
Discuss billing ownership with your agency before they send the invitation to avoid confusion later.
Review access regularly
Periodically check your Agency access page to make sure your current arrangement still meets your needs.
